In the first six months of the year, PSP caught 15,727 drivers speeding, an average of about 86 per day.
During this period, 1,670 people were found driving while intoxicated, an average of about nine people per day. According to the balance of road accidents in the territory of the PSP, to which CM had access, in the first half of the year there were 3,920 arrests for traffic offenses, including 2,100 for drunk driving and 1,820 for driving without a license. From January 1 to June 30, 41 people died on the roads, most (21) as a result of collisions. Of the remaining 12 people died as a result of being run over, and 8 died in accidents.
The PSP registered 95,902 administrative violations, 15,727 (16.4%) of which were related to speeding.
