Under pressure from the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) into the twins’ case, Maria João Ruela, adviser to Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, discovered two new emails that were not in the file of the President of the Republic and therefore were not sent to the prosecutor’s office or to deputies.
The day after Ruela’s hearing, Belen told CPI that the councillor had once again analysed the mailbox in detail.
In one of the emails, which is already in the hands of the deputies, Frutuoso de Melo, the head of the Civil Chamber, forwards a letter from the President of the Republic, Maria João Ruele, to which Marcelo attaches an email from his son and asks for an adviser to resolve the matter. Another email concerns the forwarding of the case to São Bento.
