The PSP arrested five men at 5:50am this Thursday on suspicion of involvement in the shooting of security guards at the Lust in Rio nightclub in Lisbon.
The first PSP report reported shots fired from a moving vehicle toward Last’s security detail in Rio. The targets eventually escaped unharmed, with the suspects fleeing the scene at high speed.
The PSP quickly deployed resources to the scene and immediately located a vehicle on Rua da Cintura in Porto de Lisbon that matched the description given by witnesses to the shooting. The vehicle was ordered to stop and the five occupants were searched.
During the search, the PSP found two pistols (calibers .38 and 6.35 mm). Agents also confirmed the presence of two shell casings with exploded ammunition inside the vehicle.
Five men were arrested on apparent suspicion of being responsible for the shooting at the club and the guns found were confiscated. They were heard in court on Thursday about possible enforcement action.
