The lawyer, based in Ourem, begins this Thursday to stand trial in Santarém for allegedly trying to defraud two sisters, residents of Tomar and Fundão, her longtime clients. According to the prosecutor’s office, the 50-year-old defendant, who lives in Tomar, is accused of committing a qualified fraud in the amount of about 100,000 euros.
The case dates back to October 2019, when the court of Entroncamento ruled in favor of the sisters in an enforcement process that lasted several years, and where the bailiff determined that they were each to receive 101,915 euros. .
In addition to hiding the real value from her clients, the lawyer, without having a legal power of attorney, deceived the bailiff by giving her the SIS from the personal account where half of one of the sisters was deposited. The lawyer asked to open the instructions, denying the facts of the accusation.
