The Lisbon Judicial Police (PJ) have been called to investigate a fire that left six people homeless and two injured, which broke out late on Thursday in an apartment in a building opposite the former headquarters of the criminal police agency on Rua Gomes Freire.
The fire broke out at 18:38 in an apartment located on the 3rd floor of building No. 191, an official source at the Zapadores fire department reported. CM 21 operational personnel and 7 vehicles were mobilized. “Upon arrival, the building had already been evacuated. The PSP had to temporarily close traffic,” the same source explained.
The apartment owner and a firefighter were injured by smoke and taken to hospital. The apartment was left uninhabitable, forcing six residents to seek shelter.

The incident was declared over only at 23:20.
