The PSD criticized this Thursday the measures presented by the government regarding housing, classifying them as a “statist and abusive model”, imposing a “public logic of coercion and abuse of power on the rights and property of the Portuguese”.
PSD leader Joaquim Miranda Sarmento reacted in parliament to the measures presented by the government in the Council of Ministers, stating that “from this presentation it was clear that there are two completely different models in the housing issue.”
“The statist, abusive model that the government now represents, and the PSD model that included open and modern discussion in civil society,” he defended, referring to the measures presented by the Social Democrats this week.
For the SDP, this program “reveals a government that is introverted, alienated from reality, moving ever closer to the positions of the far left and, after seven years of absolute failure in housing policy, is embarking on a very dangerous path.”
“It seems to date back to the 70s with a clear attack on private property, on the assets of the Portuguese, when the government wants to impose a public logic of coercion and abuse of power over the rights and property of the Portuguese,” he is the defendant.
For the Social Democrats, the measures presented by the executive “are disrespectful to city councils.”
