National Road 370 (EN370) is closed in the area of Graça do Divor, municipality of Évora, due to a collision that occurred this Monday morning between three vehicles, which left five injured, Civil Protection reported.
A source from the Subregional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection of Central Alentejo explained to Lusa that the accident involved two cars and a tractor, resulting in “four serious injuries and one minor.”
The accident, which authorities were alerted to at 08:22, occurred at kilometre 72 of the EN370 road linking Evora to Arraiolos.
Traffic is closed in both directions of the road in the area, in Graça do Divor, the same source reported, while the territorial command of the VNR of Évora confirmed to Luce that traffic has been interrupted “in the area of the Valeira crossing.”
At around 9:10 a.m., the victims of the accident were still at the scene, a source in Civil Defense added.
21 operatives were mobilized, supported by nine vehicles, including resources from the fire department, the GNR, the National Institute of Emergency Medicine, as well as the Portuguese Emergency Medical Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) and infrastructure.
