Madeira Airport recorded seven flight cancellations and 13 flight diversions between 08:00 and 20:00 on Thursday due to strong winds.
According to ANA’s website, seven flights were cancelled at airports in Portugal, 13 diverted and 21 managed to land.
The airport was under restrictions until 12:00 p.m., then returned to normal for a few hours, but the situation worsened from 5:00 p.m., according to information published on the ANA website.
The last flight landed this Thursday at Madeira airport at 16:54.
The list of departures includes six cancellations and delays at several connections.
This Thursday, the Funchal Port Authority issued a strong wind warning until 18:00 on Friday.
