Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro received the support of several Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) governments on Monday at a summit convened in solidarity with his disputed re-election in the July presidential elections.
The support was expressed at the 11th Extraordinary Summit of ALBA Heads of State and Prime Ministers, which was held virtually and broadcast on Venezuelan state television.
“It is impossible to remain indifferent in the face of the deliberate action of regional oligarchies, imperialism, communications centers and digital platforms against Venezuela. This Monday against Venezuela, tomorrow against any of our countries and peoples,” said the Cuban president, who congratulated Maduro on his supposed electoral victory.
