European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called this Saturday at a security conference in Munich, Germany, to “redouble efforts” in military support for Ukraine to help Kyiv repel a Russian invasion.
“We must continue to provide the very massive support necessary to crush the imperialist plans [Vladmir] Putin,” Ursula von der Leyen said in Munich, quoted by Agence France-Presse (AFP) as saying “it’s time to speed up because Ukraine needs material to survive.”
Almost a year after the start of the war (the invasion began on February 24, 2022), there are no signs of appeasement on the front, and NATO fears a new large-scale offensive from Moscow in the near future.
