According to information available on the Fertagus website, train services on the 25 April Bridge, which connects Lisbon to the south bank, returned to normal at 5:00 a.m. after being restricted due to a catenary fall.
According to Fertagus, the company that runs the service, the catenary collapsed at 5:30 p.m., with service stopped on the descending route between Sete Rios and Alvito A in Lisbon.
The movement was carried out in both directions along the ascending route between the indicated stations.
This rail link between Lisbon and the South Bank was opened on 29 July 1999, with the aim of removing cars from the 25 April bridge.
The passage connects the Roma-Areiro stations in Lisbon with Setúbal and has 10 stations on the south bank and four in the capital.
On a railway, the contact network is an overhead system for distributing and supplying electrical energy.
