Three emergency services in obstetrics and gynaecology will be closed this Thursday, according to information published on the National Health Service (SNS) website at 10am.
The obstetric and gynaecological emergency departments at the São Bernardo Hospital in Setúbal and the District Hospital das Caldas da Rainha, as well as the obstetric emergency department at the hospital in Portimão, have been closed.
As for pediatric emergency care, the additional medical care service in Viseu is available from 20:15 to 23:00, while in Amadora-Sintra Hospital it is open from 8:00 to 20:00 and is available at night.
The Amadora Sintra Hospital (Professor Dr. Fernando Fonseca) also has emergency obstetric and gynecological services from 8:00 pm to midnight and is open throughout the day.
As before, in the Lisbon region, emergency obstetric and gynecological care at the San Francisco Xavier Hospital is available from 9:00 p.m. to midnight.
Obstetric emergencies at Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon and obstetric and gynecological emergencies at Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada are transferred to CODU/INEM throughout the day.
The units indicated mean that the services are reserved for internal emergencies or are referred by the Patient Emergency Centre (CODU) of the National Institute of Medical Emergencies (INEM) or via the SNS 24 line.
In total, three emergency situations were closed this Thursday, four were mentioned (with restrictions) and two were mentioned by CODU/INEM. 164 emergency departments were opened.
