On Saturday, speaking at the Munich Security Conference, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called for speeding up the production of conventional weapons, such as ammunition, which Kiev “extremely needs”, and the opportunity for EU member states to move towards joint procurement.
Estonia, the Baltic nation at the forefront of support for Ukraine, has presented its partners with a quantitative proposal: four billion euros from member states for the European Peace Fund, a tool that has been used for almost a year to buy and supply weapons to Ukraine.
