The President of the Assembly of the Republic this Friday expressed support for Ukraine’s “fair struggle” for its sovereignty and condemned the Russian invasion, which he called “illegal, intolerable and unacceptable.”
“Let it be clear to everyone: we condemn the aggressor and support the one who defends himself. We support Ukraine,” Augusto Santos Silva stressed in a video message posted on his official Twitter account on the day that marks the one year anniversary of the Russian invasion. .
Santos Silva spoke about the various initiatives of solidarity with Ukraine that the parliament is implementing, such as the thematic debates that will open around 10:00, lighting the main facade of the Assembly of the Republic in blue and yellow.
