Last Tuesday, a 25-year-old man was stabbed to death after being caught stealing shrimp with his brother from a fresh fish and seafood store in New York, United States of America. The owner has already commented on the fatal incident and stated that the outcome would not have been the same if the victim had not “stealed”.
What is an American newspaper New York Post found out the store was in chaos after brothers Robert and Malik Burrell were spotted stealing by workers. Shop owner Francisco Morales says the youths attacked him after confronting them with the situation, which led to the intervention of another employee.
An employee, Junior Hernandez, used a knife to stop the conflict and finish off the machine. He stabbed both brothers and Malik ended up dying as a victim of the blow.
Hernandez was initially charged with the murder of Malik, but the charges were later reduced to assault. The worker has already apologized for what happened and admits that he feels remorse. “I feel bad because this young man also has a family. I’m not proud of what I did,” he said.
Bobby Burrell, who was also injured during the defiance, was charged Friday with burglary but is also not facing jail time.
