This Friday, a teacher rescued a man with a musculoskeletal disability from a car shortly before it caught fire in Manchester, UK.
Heather Sika-Leonard explained, quoted by NBC, that she saw a car on the side of the road and decided to stop to see how she could help. “I just reacted to what looked like a worried driver in a car with smoke coming out of the windows,” he said.
Once the man explained that he had limited mobility, the teacher helped him get into the wheelchair and get out of the car safely.
As soon as they got out of the car, the car caught fire and completely engulfed the flames.
“The actions of the teacher prevented a near-fatal outcome. Thank you, Heather,” congratulated the firefighters.
