The Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Welfare demanded an urgent inspection of the Delicado Raminho nursing home in Lourinhao after reports of mistreatment came in on Sunday.
“What I asked for was an inspection, an urgent request was sent for an immediate inspection of the house to understand what was happening, because we should all be concerned about the protection of the people,” said Ana Mendez Godinho.
The minister, speaking ahead of the opening of the 9th Employment Week organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS), said that in this area, work is carried out on two levels: monitoring and checking situations that are noted or where there are problems, and making investments, for example , under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
