The taxi driver, twice convicted of slandering the head physician of the Santa Marta hospital in Lisbon, has been charged with harassing the surgeon as well as the judge who sentenced him.
The 59-year-old man sent more than 70 emails to reporters accusing the doctor of trying to kill him and the judge of trying to cover up the crime. Now, according to Newspaperthe man was accused by the prosecutor’s office of malicious denunciation, slander with aggravating circumstances and persecution.
According to the prosecution, which Newspaper had access, in emails the man intimidated professionals “referring to the shots and insulting them, calling them, among other things, corrupt officials, murderers and lesbians.”
The taxi driver also sent dozens of emails between 2020 and 2022 to numerous government agencies, judicial institutions, disciplinary institutions, and professional orders. In emails, he accused the doctor and the judge of committing illegal acts with the connivance of hospital and judicial services. He accused professionals of corruption and even sent emails to the Department of Investigations and Criminal Affairs in Lisbon.
