Heidi Michelle Matheny, 35, confessed to drowning her 93-year-old grandmother in a sink and tub in Ohio, United States of America. Heidi said that she could not accommodate an elderly woman in the house, so she believes that she must commit a crime.
The victim was washing dishes when she was first attacked by her granddaughter. The elderly woman resisted, but eventually lost consciousness. Having drowned his grandmother in the sink, frightened that she was still alive, he decided to drown her in the bath for another 15 minutes.
The crime is dated November last year. It happened after going to the doctor, after he advised her to give her grandfather to a nursing home.
“She had panic attacks every night. She was under stress. She shouldn’t have lived like this,” she said.
At first, during the commission of crimes, Heidi declared herself innocent. After being psychologically assessed and found fit for trial, the woman took on the crimes and will now be tried for her grandmother’s death.
