A 74-year-old woman who has been missing since Sunday in the municipality of Almodóvar, Beja district, was found alive on Tuesday and taken to a local medical center, GNR said.
A source from the GNR Territorial Command in Beja told Lusa that the woman was found around 10:30 a.m. in a bush area about two kilometers from her home.
When the elderly woman was found, she was “debilitated” so she was “taken to the Almodóvar health center,” the same source said.
According to a GNR source who previously told Lusa, the woman went missing around 13:00 on Sunday at the site of Carvallos, in the parish of Santa Clara a Nova y Gómez Aires, in the municipality of Almodóvar.
GNR soldiers and Almodôvar firefighters participated in the search.
