The PSP Lisbon Metropolitan Command said in a statement that operations aimed at inspecting catering establishments and nightclubs were carried out between February 24 and March 12 in order to verify, among other things, assumptions about the correct operation and dynamization of events, as well as identifying illegal situations. in the context of combating tax evasion.
Among the various offenses identified were two protocols for the lack of an impromptu permit to fencing or a license to fencing, four protocols for the refusal of communication by guards in the line of duty, as well as three protocols for non-compliance with the requirements for the implementation of non-departmental security, and two folders for irregular use of uniforms.
There were also four protocols for non-compliant or non-compliance with invoices, four protocols for the lack of documents for the purchase of perishable goods, and one protocol for non-compliance with the schedule.
In addition to the PSP, the Tax and Customs Services, the Directorate of Food and Economic Security, the General Inspectorate for Cultural Activities and the Lisbon Municipal Police were involved in the operations.
The authorities also issued two notices of no sound limiter or non-compliance with the requirement to broadcast amplified music after 11 p.m., two notices of non-compliance with video surveillance (closed-circuit television), and one notice of non-compliance with legal requirements. compliance with the correct installation of fire safety equipment.
These actions, according to the PSP, also had the goal of “increasing the feeling of security in the night zones”, and also defined and increased procedures for musicians / music producers who performed these functions without being properly collected in finances.
