BE Coordinator Katarina Martins on Tuesday denounced the “double murder at the Ismail Center in Lisbon”, which does “important work of accepting refugees”, while expressing condolences to the families and the entire Ismail community.
“Still puzzled by this news, we strongly condemn the double murder that took place today at the Centro Ismaelita de Lisboa, which does an important job of hosting refugees,” Katharina Martins said in a Twitter post.
The BE coordinator expressed “sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the entire Ismaili community.”
Two people died Tuesday morning at the Ismaelita Center in Lisbon in a stabbing attack, a police source told Lusa.
The teacher of the center was stabbed in the neck and taken to the hospital.
The same official PSP source said that the suspect has been detained and the situation is currently under control.
