A 39-year-old man with extensive convictions for violent crimes was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, raping and distributing pornography of a minor, now 13, in Vila do Conde. The crimes were committed last Tuesday, the judicial police said in a statement.
The accused approached the young man in the morning, not far from the educational institution he attends, and persuaded him to get into his car and drive in an unknown direction. A man armed with a replica firearm intimidated the victim by forcing her to go to a “closed location where he subjected her to various abusive sexual acts, which he captured in photographs and video,” the JV said in a statement.
The minor was abducted for about four hours, released near the house where he lives, under the threat that if he told anyone about what had happened, he would be killed.
But this is not the only case. A man is suspected of committing identical crimes on February 9 in Povoa de Varzim against a 12-year-old minor.
The detainee, released on parole, was taken into custody after attending the first judicial interrogation.
