A man stabbed seven people to death at a hospital in Americano Brasiliense, 253 kilometers from Sao Paulo, Brazil, took a hostage while trying to escape and was eventually killed by police. Of the seven victims, one, a hospital doctor, is in hospital in serious condition.

With a health worker as a shield and a knife around her neck all the time, the man found himself surrounded by police and threatened to kill the nurse if they didn’t let him go. At the moment when the aggressor, becoming more and more nervous, partially left the nurse behind and she managed to move away a little, one of the police officers surrounding him fired.
The severely wounded deranged attacker was taken to the hospital, where he attacked, but died soon after. According to Major Alan Gouvea of the Brazilian American Military Police, the man was already known in the city for using drugs and having outbreaks, and the case is being treated as an isolated act of a drug addict, not a planned attack. for any extremist religious or political orientation.
Last Wednesday, April 5, another brutal attack, this time in Blumenau, a city in southern Brazil, had much more serious consequences and caused a huge stir in the country. A 25-year-old man, apparently in a state of psychotic breakdown, broke into a kindergarten and killed four children aged four to seven with an axe, wounded five more, and then, calmly walking, went to surrender to the police station.
