“Wake up war, wake up war”
Gonzalo, another witness who enters via video link, begins to speak.
He says that he does not know either the defendants or the assistants. He says he was at MOME that night. He went out with friends, there were four of them.
“At the end of the night we were separated… I was at the entrance to the disco,” he says. He says he saw Claudio Pereira kicked out of the club. He reveals that he went to talk to him and that he said he was attacked and bleeding from his forehead.
“Meanwhile, I stop to smoke a cigarette and see how Claudio and Vadim leave the disco,” says Gonzalo. He adds that they came smiling and in a friendly mood with the guards. He says he remembers how comfortable he was with the guards and how they smiled at Claudio Pereira.
“I see Claudio Pereira running towards Coimbra, punching him and then taking him away. It so happened that Claudio fell flat. Pedro protected him. they were more interested in my friends,” he says.
“Then I saw kicks and a lot of confusion. I remember the girl screaming, but I don’t know what she was saying,” he describes, adding that everything happened very quickly.
“Later I heard cries: Wake up Guerra, wake up Guerra,” he says.
He says he remembers seeing several guards in moments of celebration after it happened.
During the testimony, Fabio Guerra’s mother cries whenever she hears her son’s name.
The witness of the deputy and Vadim speaks in court
Pedro Costa, a witness of the prosecutor’s office and Vadim, is being heard in court via videoconference.
He says he knows the defendants, but only because of the situation. He has never lived with them and does not know Fabio’s parents. Knows Claudio as his friend.
“It all started when Claudio called me. I rested in the car. He called me and said that he was attacked at a disco for no apparent reason,” says Pedro Costa.
He says that a friend has already called him from abroad and therefore does not know what happened inside. He only knows what he has been told.
“Claudio said he was hit on the head and punched. I tried to calm him down so that he would not make a mistake,” he says.
Pedro Costa says that Claudio had a scratch on his nose and on his forehead. He was excited, excited. I didn’t scream.
“I always stayed close to him, tried to get back to the car,” he says.
“The moment Coimbra leaves the disco, Pereira goes to him and tells him what happened,” he says.
“I see Pereira hitting Coimbra. And suddenly he falls to the ground, Pereira,” he adds.
Pedro Costa that Claudio Pereira was left lying on the floor, motionless. He says he’s focused on his friend.
“I grabbed Pereira by the head, I tried to get him to talk to me. I was only worried about my friend,” he says.
“I’m not afraid to speak up,” he says.
The prosecutor asks: “When Pereira fell to the ground, was he attacked?”
“I have only seen it in pictures. I don’t remember,” he adds.
“In the pictures, I see another kick attempt,” says the witness, who reveals he was very worried.
When asked if they were just the two of them when they approached Coimbra, he said yes.
Claudio Pereira delivers two kicks to the head, already on the ground. The witness recognizes himself in the photographs. You have Claudio between your legs.
Pedro Costa remembers that his friend did not understand what happened and they left the place.
Vadim’s defense asks: “When he left the club, who else was Pereira with at the club?”
The witness claims that he stayed with two friends, but they did not meet him when he was kicked out. When asked if it was okay for an abused person to be kicked out of a club, Pedro replied, “Of course not.”
“When Pereira got up, I realized that the situation had escalated,” he says.
They ask if the witness remembers if Claudio Pereira was wearing a gold thread that night. Pedro says that, as a rule, he always has a golden thread. “At the beginning of that night, I was with him,” he adds.
This question follows from the story told by the defendant. The fact that Pereira put the thread under his shirt is an insult.
The witness has been fired.
JV inspector heard in court
Claudio’s defense didn’t want the SP inspector to be heard. He claimed to have interfered with the investigation.
The judge’s decision is that the inspector will be heard.
“We have taken action. We talked to those who were still there, whom the PSP detained,” the inspector says.
“We immediately collected important information that was still fresh. Although we understood that it was partial,” he says. “We also immediately collected important surveillance images for the investigation,” he adds.
“We realized that those offended were PSP agents. They were in a hospital in San Jose, one was in a very serious condition, ”says the investigator.
“They were heard, and then they saw images to orient themselves and help us understand,” he says.
The inspector also says that witnesses were heard and that there were those who, having learned about the seriousness of the facts, wanted to contribute. This is all at the initial stage.
“We reviewed the interrogations of victims and witnesses. We did not know who was involved in the situation of aggression. Later we realized that they were involved in the process. We immediately learned that they were part of the Navy. .
The inspector adds that they were collecting evidence and conducting searches. Then they did a reconnaissance.
The prosecutor asks: “For what purpose were the images shown?”
The inspector explains that it was just to identify himself in order to better understand the situation. They say they took pictures.
Vadim’s defense asks: “Are they going to the Alfeite base first?”
The inspector confirms. He says they knew they were there because it was reported. The inspector was neither at the base nor in the houses.
The defendant’s defense again asks: “When will they identify the offended, when they realize that they are policemen?”
The inspector confirms: “It was already said that they were agents.”
The referee interrupts and completes the answer.
They show the photo to the inspector. “Have you measured in space?” the defense asks. The inspector replies that he does not think so.
“What is the approximate distance between the MOME port and the tree next to the pole?” the defense asks.
“This is no more than five meters,” says the inspector.
Claudio’s defense asks: “During the times you were at MOME, were you shown video?”
Say no.
“Do you have any idea if the hospital already knew about the seriousness of the situation? That you could be the victim of a violent crime?” asks the defense, which is interrupted by the judge, who did not understand the question.
“Did the hospital know that it was someone who had been the victim of a violent crime?
The inspector says she doesn’t know.
The judge asks: “In the hospital, who did you talk to?”
The inspector says that she spoke to the person in charge, collected some records only to find out about Fabio’s health.
The defense asks: “Did any of the colleagues accompany the autopsy?”
Say no.
They show the CCTV images again to see if the idea of a distance of 4 or 5 meters is maintained. The inspector says it’s better to go there and measure, and the judge laughs.
“In the video, it seems that the distance is greater,” says the inspector. “It will be more. About 7 meters, at least,” he adds.
The inspector has been fired.
PSP agent continues to testify
Deborah’s PSP agent’s application resumes. I knew Fabio Guerra for several months. He was calm, sociable and friendly. He didn’t work directly with him, but he was a good cop. Cheerful and calm.
“When I saw that my colleagues were getting confused, I said to my colleague, ‘Come on, it’s up to us,’” he said.
“I was with colleagues on the floor above the MMO. Never saw the defendants at the disco. The disco closed, we left, I was waiting for a colleague who went to the bathroom. And this is what he said yesterday: “I saw classmates running to start a fight. Me too,” he added.
Claudio asks to speak: “We never had the feeling that it was the police, except when they told us about it after we left there.”
