US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said this Saturday in Vietnam that the recent leak of Pentagon documents, one of the largest in a decade, has not affected relations and cooperation with allies.
“The investigation is ongoing and important measures are being taken to protect the information,” Blinken said this Saturday at a press conference in Hanoi, where he has been on his way to Karuizawa, Japan, to attend a meeting of G7 foreign ministers since Friday.
Asked if he feared the leak that led the United States to hold 21-year-old Jack Teixeira as a suspect could interfere with a meeting with his G7 colleagues, Blinken said for the steps taken. Our collaboration has not been affected.”
