An 86-year-old man was badly stabbed in the face and arm – he had to be taken to hospital and stitched – during a robbery of a supermarket where he was shopping on Wednesday in the municipality of Amadora.
The 34-year-old aggressor was found next to the PSP. Notified that he would go to court, he eventually left with an indication of the date proving his identity and place of residence, he found out cm from police sources.
On CCTV footage that cm had access, the suspect can be seen stealing a few groceries that he puts in his backpack and being interrogated by one of the supermarket managers. When the staff prevented him from leaving by closing the door to call the PSP, the man went on a rampage, took out his x-ato and tried to attack the manager.
The assailant went through the stalls and ended up attacking the elderly customer, seriously injuring him.
