India has overtaken China as the most populous country in the world. Currently in India 1428 million inhabitants, and in China 1425 million.

The report provides data on global population growth and points to a number of challenges, such as securing women’s rights to sustained population growth. It is divided into five chapters:Human Family of 8 Billion”, “Too Many?”, “Too Few?”, “The Current State of Reproductive Freedom”, and “The Solution Lies in Rights”.
