Chega leader Andre Ventura reacted this Monday to claims by Bloc de Esquerde MP Marian Mortagua, who alleges that Chega was persecuting him for being a woman, a “lesbian” or “daughter of the anti-fascist resistance.”
“Mariana Mortagua, I don’t care if you are a lesbian or a transgender or anyone else, but if you receive illegal public money or illegally collect salaries as an MP, it already worries me!” President Chega wrote on the social networking site twitter.
In an interview with SIC Notícias, the blocker parliamentarian realized that the legal proceedings that were directed against her, namely the party of André Ventura, “will continue to rise in tone and level.” Mariana Mortagua also stated that two of these trials were carried out by a “prominent member of Chega” and the other by Global Media owner Marco Galiña.
