Cheryl Pickles, an English woman accused of physically and mentally torturing children, was sentenced to 15 years in prison this Friday. The perpetrator will act out of cruelty for several years and in a variety of ways. The 39-year-old Brit worked with her former partner Andrew Hadwin. The man was a child psychotherapist, which would have made it easier to access the victims. The prosecution indicated that the minors were regularly beaten with a belt and subjected to many tortures. The couple allegedly forced the children to eat soap, bathe in boiling water, spend hours in uncomfortable positions and without food.
The court noted that the two attackers spent a lot of money on food and that they deliberately ate in front of the children, who would have been hungry. The motive will be “pure sadism,” the prosecutor in the case points out.
There is also a record of sexual abuse of a minor.
The couple even wrote letters, posing as one of the victims, in which they denied all insults. The truth was revealed by calligraphers who managed to understand that it was a fake.
In February of this year, Andrew Hadwin was accused of sexual abuse of a minor child and neglect. The man died in February this year. He was found already lifeless in a prison cell. The cause of death has yet to be established.
Cheryl Pickles has been charged with child abuse and acquitted of rape charges.
