A joint operation by Portuguese and Colombian authorities resulted in the seizure of another four tons of cocaine this Thursday. The drug was hidden in a banana container in the port of Setúbal.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Colombia, quoted by the publication. drug diarythe narcotic product was brought to Portugal by sea with a large shipment of these fruits in order to hide the illegal action.
Approximately 4.2 tons of “high purity” drugs were seized, according to the Judicial Police (PJ), a national government source involved in the operation.
This cocaine seizure is the largest in the country this year and one of the largest in recent years.
