The TAP Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry approved today the IL’s proposal for an “immediate hearing” of Minister Joao Galamba, deciding to also hear the exonerated MP Frederico Pinheiro and the chief of staff of the infrastructure chief.
At today’s meeting, before the hearing at the General Directorate of Treasury and Finance (DGTF), MPs unanimously approved the request from the Liberal Initiative (IL) for an “immediate hearing of the Minister of Infrastructure”, ahead of what was previously planned.
IL substantiates the request with “the news published in various media over the past few hours of the dismissal of Assistant Minister of Infrastructure Frederico Pinheiro, which arose due to the latest allegations”, which the party “deems extremely serious”, and related to the subject of the commission of inquiry.
Today’s meeting also approved PSD and Chega’s request to hear Federico Pinheiro, as well as João Galamba’s chief of staff Maria Eugenia Cabasu, the latter at Chega’s request.
