Six of the eight new assault brigades created by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry for the upcoming counteroffensive have received the necessary training and are ready for combat operations against Russian troops, Kyiv authorities said today.
“Six brigades of the National Guard, which are part of the Air Assault Guard, are formed, equipped with the necessary personnel and ready to perform their task in the Armed Forces as soon as they receive the assignment,” Colonel Nikolai Urshalovich from the Department of Internal Affairs of the National Guard said.
“All officers, sergeants and soldiers of the Assault Guard are motivated and understand that the success of the liberation of our territories from the aggressor depends on them personally, on each unit and each brigade,” the colonel added.
