Several people, including children, were injured in a shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets mall in Allen, Texas, USA this Saturday, although the status of the casualties is not yet known, Reuters reported.
According to Chief of Staff Collin, quoted by WFAA TV, the shooter died at the scene.
A woman, accompanied by her daughter, who was shopping at the mall, recalls hearing a “pop” when she was outside a Converse store, the publication cites. Fox4 news.
“We all stopped and a second later we heard ‘boom, bang, bang, bang, bang’ and the sparks flew as if they were right in front of us,” added Elaine Penikaro.
Allen police said they were actively investigating the incident and urged people to avoid the area via a social media post.
