A 58-year-old man is suspected of shooting dead a 14-year-old girl playing hide-and-seek in the garden of the shooter’s home in Louisiana, USA, Sunday morning.
According to a statement by the authorities, which cites Washington Post, a group of children were playing hide-and-seek next to the property of David Doyle, the alleged shooter. Seeing “shadows near the house”, the man raised his gun. When he left again, David says that he saw people leaving the property and that at that time he started shooting, hitting the girl without knowing it.
After several reports of gunfire in the area, police officers drove to the scene and found a young woman with a gunshot wound. The girl was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
David Doyle was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
