A Ryanair plane made an emergency landing at Faro airport this Sunday due to an alleged technical problem. The plane took off from Faro at 12:35 pm and headed for Birmingham, UK.
The arrival was supposed to take place at 13:24, but the plane had to return to Faro airport. The landing took place without incident at 15:25.
About 180 people were on board the plane. After a technical evaluation, it was decided that passengers would no longer fly on this aircraft.
Passengers will be transferred to another Ryanair aircraft to continue their journey, which already has a delay of about 5 hours.
The aircraft, although there was no place to land at Faro Airport, remained airborne for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
So far, there is no confirmation of what the technical problem was.
