The National Maritime Authority, the Portuguese Navy and the Air Force seized this Friday evening three high-speed vessels, about 1.1 tons of hashish and about 20 fuel canisters 148 kilometers south of Portugal.
The joint operation also identified crew members on board, aged 24 to 48, nationals of France, Spain and Morocco. Team”were subjected to the necessary procedures aimed at their identification and subsequent formal legal registration.
As found out cmTwo men were arrested and are in SP custody. Four more men were detained by the maritime police for identification purposes.
“The vessel with the narcotic product was pulled ashore for investigation and delivery to the Southern Department of the Judicial Police,” the Maritime Department said in a statement.
