The government reappoints Magina da Silva as National Director of the PSP for another three years.

The service committee of PSP’s current National Director, Chief Superintendent Manuel Augusto Magín da Silva, has been updated, as announced this Thursday in a note to internal administration.

According to morning Post this Wednesday, Magina da Silva will lead the PSP for another three years.

Minister José Luis Carneiro has decided to reappoint the national director of the PSP for yet another service commission lasting three years, due to events such as World Youth Day, which will bring over a million Catholics to Lisbon and force a difficult security operation due to the presence of Pope Francis.

Magina da Silva’s current service life ends in February.
