Commander Joaquim Teixeira of the firefighters of Arrifana in Santa Maria da Feira was awarded the Commendation Medal of the League of Portuguese Firefighters for the relevant services rendered to the firefighter.
This medal is a recognition of the exemplary work and leadership qualities of a commander for 20 years.
At the same ceremony held this Sunday, the Chiefs of Staff José Cerdura, Benjamim Gonçalves, Rui Loureiro, Deputy Chiefs José Santos, Artur Gonçalves and the first firefighters Joaquim Amorim and Domingos Moreira were awarded the Portuguese Firemen’s League’s high honorary award, a golden badge.
This award is a recognition of the outstanding work and dedication of these individuals who have dedicated over 35 years of their lives to the fire service. The golden badge is a special tribute and a symbol of distinction in the activities of the Portuguese firefighters.
