Alternative rock band The Killers was criticized for asking a Russian fan to come on stage and play drums during a concert in Georgia.
As the crowd voiced their displeasure, frontman Brandon Flowers told fans that they were all “brothers and sisters”, which heated things up further when the crowd booed the band.
In a message posted Tuesday on Facebook, the American group apologized and assured: “We never intended to offend anyone.”
“We have a long tradition of inviting people to play drums,” added the band, which has sold millions of albums over the past 20 years and Nominated seven times for the Grammy Award.
