At least 11 people have been hospitalized after a Delta Airlines flight hit severe turbulence en route to Atlanta, USA from Milan, Italy.
The airline said in a statement that passengers and crew were injured after Delta Flight 175 “experienced severe turbulence” before landing in Atlanta.
In accordance with NBK The news company did not specify the severity of the injured victims’ injuries.
The aircraft was about 40 miles northeast of Atlanta’s Hatrsfield-Jackson International Airport when the crew sensed severe turbulence. The plane landed safely at the airport around 19:00 local time (1:00 Lisbon).
There were 151 passengers and 14 crew members on the plane, the airline said.
