Under the so-called Xabregas agreement, traffic between the Chelas junction and Lisbon-Santa Apolonia remains suspended.
On the Cascais line, traffic between Cais do Sodre and Oeiras has been restored. The Alges station remains closed and traffic on the Leste line between Portalegre and Elvas has been suspended.
Intense and incessant rain that fell at dawn on Tuesday caused hundreds of accidents, including floods, tree falls and cuts to roads in the areas of Lisbon, Setúbal and Portalegre, where there are records of several evacuees.
