Applications for the universal digital training check worth €750 opened this Friday, the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security (MTSSS) announced.
The Cheque – Training + Digital program is aimed at all workers, regardless of their employment status, and costs up to €750 per year for training that teaches them digital skills.
This activity is funded by the Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PRR) and applicants will be able to select an activity and training organization.
“To provide support, costs associated with registration, attendance and certification of training are taken into account, which must be supported by an invoice and receipt in the name of the candidate,” explains MTSSS in a statement released this Friday.
The application form is available on the Institute for Employment and Training (IEFP) portal.
In July, in a statement to Luse, Labor Minister Miguel Fontes explained that the initiative falls under the “Employment + Digital” measure, and then indicated that it would be implemented this month.
This measure is based on “the ability of any worker, regardless of the nature of his connection with the situation in which he finds himself on the labor market, to be able to benefit from a check in the amount [até] €750 for a digital skills training course of your choice,” said the Secretary of State.
According to the official, “they may concern issues related to cybersecurity, data processing, digital “marketing”, everything that every worker understands is important to improve his skills in the labor market,” or in the logic of “someone who strives to professional career.” retraining, changing jobs, finding another field of activity in order to be able, let’s say, to be properly trained and equipped in this sense.”
