Some say that good sleep and proper nutrition help you age more slowly. The American Heart Association (AHA), a North American nongovernmental organization that funds research into cardiovascular disease, has provided other tips to help prevent the signs of aging.
In accordance with The keeperthan the AHA, people with better cardiovascular health are six years younger at the biological level. And what should we do to improve our heart health? Scientists advise getting good sleep, controlling weight gain and sugar intake, controlling cholesterol and blood pressure, sleeping well, avoiding eating after hours, exercising and not smoking.
“These findings help us understand the relationship between chronological age, biological age, and healthy lifestyle choices that can help us live longer,” says Donald Lloyd-Jones, AHA Fellow.
The data is based on a sample of more than 6,500 adults surveyed, with an average age of 47, according to The keeper.
