Inditex, the global leader in clothing retail, made a profit of €4.102 million in the first nine months of its financial year (February to October), up 32.5% on the same period in 2022.
Sales of the multinational fashion group, which owns brands such as Zara, exceeded 25,600 million euros between February and October, up 11.1% compared to the same months in 2022, the company said in a statement today.
The company, which has a presence in nearly 100 countries and had 5,722 stores at the end of October, said sales were developing “very satisfactorily and positively in all geographies,” both in stores and online.
Inditex ended the 2022 financial year with a profit of 4.130 million euros, up 27% on the previous year.
For the first time, the company’s profits exceeded four billion euros in a financial year, and the group considered 2022 “the best year in its history.”
Inditex owns brands such as Zara, Berhska, Stradivarius and Massimo Dutti.
The multinational corporation was founded in 1963 as a small company based in the Spanish province of La Coruña (Galicia).
It is also the largest Spanish company by market capitalization.
