US President Joe Biden said this Wednesday that Donald Trump “definitely supported the insurrection” in 2021, refusing to comment on the court decision that declared his predecessor ineligible to run in next year’s presidential elections.
The former Republican president “certainly supported the insurrection, no doubt about it, none, zero. And he appears to be repeating that in every way,” Biden said upon arriving in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the day after the U.S. Supreme Court hearing. . Colorado holds Trump ineligible to run for president because of his involvement in the January 2021 invasion of the Capitol.
This Wednesday, Biden said the court must decide whether the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, which bars him from holding public office again, applies to Trump.
