“Puro Mito” and “Patriot Style”: a shoe collection inspired by Bolsonaro

One of the most popular products is rubber slippers called “Puro Mito,” a nod to what Bolsonaro’s most fanatical followers call “The Myth.” Anyone who prefers to wear sneakers with Jair Bolsonaro’s name on their feet has two options, as do flip-flops, both referencing phrases he often repeats: the “Bolsonaro Patriot Style” model and the “Bolsonaro Liberdade Style.”

There are also models that feature Jair Bolsonaro’s signature instead of a name or photograph. On the company’s social media, Jair Bolsonaro himself smiles as he receives a pair of leather boots with his name on them, acting as a sort of advertising poster for the brand.

However, in a recent interview, the owners of the company, based in the interior of Minas Gerais state, assured that Bolsonaro allowed the use of his image and name without charging absolutely anything, which many doubt.
