Peak fuel prices in Cape Verde will rise by an average of 2.93% in February compared to the previous month, the Multi-Sectoral Economic Regulatory Authority (ARME) said.
According to the new price table for regulated petroleum products published on Wednesday, the price of diesel will rise by 3.17% to 126.90 Cape Verdean escudos (1.15 euros) per liter, and gasoline by 3.18% to 136 .30 escudos (1.24 euros) per liter.
ARME also noted that the price of butane was an exception, falling 1.45% to 143 escudos (1.30 euros).
Gas cylinders weighing 12.5 kg now cost 1,787 escudos (about 16.23 euros).
Compared to the same period last year (February 2023), the average change in fuel prices corresponds to a decrease of 9.36%.
The growth is justified by the growth recorded in the international market.
