“(U.S.) forces carried out a unilateral attack in Iraq in response to attacks on U.S. forces, killing a Kataib Hezbollah commander responsible for directly planning and participating in attacks against U.S. forces in the region,” the military said in a statement, accompanied by Reuters had access.
Over the weekend, the United States attacked Iranian-backed groups in Iraq and Syria in what the country said was just the beginning of its response to the deaths of three American soldiers. More than 85 targets were hit.
