The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a Su-30 fighter this Wednesday intercepted a reconnaissance aircraft and two British fighters over the Black Sea, which changed their trajectory after the approach of Russian aircraft.
“A Su-30 fighter from the air defense security unit took off to prevent violation of the Russian state border. The crew identified the air targets as an RC-135 reconnaissance and electronic warfare aircraft and two multi-role Typhoon fighters of the Air Force. Force of the United Kingdom,” – the ministry said in a statement.
The same source added that “due to the proximity of the Russian fighter jet, foreign military aircraft changed their route and moved away from the Russian border,” further reporting that the Russian aircraft returned to base and that “violating the Russian state border was not allowed.”
